My travelling road show

I've been away from my family, office and my beloved booth where I spend most of my days. But twice a year I leave to take care of rental property business in Wisconsin, in April and October.

Thankfully, through electronics I can pretty much stay in touch. I bring my laptop and my nifty sounding Samson CO1U usb microphone. It sounds great and works well for auditions and jobs while I am on the road.

The biggest challenge is ambient room sound, which is difficult to replicate at times , which is when I miss my soundbooth the most, especially when a client wants a pick up line or two I am trying to match up.

This time, I decided to take a stop in Denver on the way back to San Diego, which is where I am writing this from today. I am enjoying time with our oldest daughter, Michelle and her family. Many of the trees are a brilliant yellow, contrasting against a deep blue sky. Ahhhh Fall!

I'll be back on Monday, and blogging more about industry stuff.

Right now I am embracing my family and  the technology that allows me to work while I am doing the travelling thing...
