"The Silicon Engine" project narration.

The Silicon Engine

This is a fascinating project I narrated for the Computer History Museum , located in Mountain View, California. I am excited and proud to share this because it it tells an interesting story and I like the way the director pulled a documentary feel in the read from me.  Plus, I am facinated by computers, and have owned one since the late '70's. Ah...the Radio Shack TRS-80.
(Even though sometimes they can frustrate me completely!)

The museum's grand opening will be early 2011.

    Bobbin,
Ah, the trash 80 from Radio Shack with the 5" floppies! I worked at a small radio station in Maryland that ran all their automation on those machines!

Great work, Bobbin! The history of technology is a really fascinating subject, and the presentation you voiced is a great summary of the progress that's been made over the years. It's amazing to see how far we've come, and I can't wait to see where we go from here.

      Hey Justin,
Thanks for stopping by. I actually enjoy technology too and am kind of a geek at heart. I've recorded a number of similar presentations for the museum on various related topics, including "Human Computers", and "History of Microsoft", which are in post-production. I am hoping to make the journey to the museum when it opens next year.
      All The Best,
      Bobbin
