Friday evening I attended the Audio Publisher's Association (APA)  Mixer in Los Angeles at the Geisha House on Hollywood Boulevard . I am told this was very special, because it was perhaps, the first mixer for the New York-based organization to be scheduled on the west coast.

It was a fine opportunity to meet a greet all the West Coast audio publishers, directors and some of the top narrators in the business. Oh yes, and the bar was hosted by Blackstone Audio . About one hundred industry peers attended.

I mingled  with my friends Vanessa Hart, Julie Williams, Andrea Christiansen, and new pal, Don Leslie...then met up with more friends at the mixer; Pat & Renee Fraley, Denise Chamberlain, Nancy Wolfson, Cory Verner, Bob Deyan and Scott Brick.

The sushi was delightful and abundant, and the evening air was fresh in the rooftop atrium beneath the stars.  I meandered about, and spoke with a number of of  incredibly interesting voiceover actors, producers, and got to shake the hand of Blackstone Audio's head honcho, Grover Gardner.

It was a fun and productive evening, and definitely worth the heavy LA  traffic.
