Found: ISDN studio while traveling

One of the nice aspects of being a voiceover is we can work wherever we are...with our portable booths, ftp, or Source Connect.

Occasionally there is even a call for you to book into an ISDN-equipped studio, which happened to me this week while staying in Milwaukee.

Luckily, a friend from the vo-bb recommended the  DIGIFON directory, a digital dial up list of ISDN equipped studios world-wide. I was able to rapidly locate an area studio for an emergency recording session, which made my LA agent and the client very pleased.

About DIGIFON

The primary activity of DIGIFON is integrating, selling, supporting and bridging systems that allow professional quality audio to be transmitted and received via widely available ISDN telephone lines. Users of these systems tend to be recording studios, TV/film editorial houses, broadcasters, ad agencies, talent, music production companies, record labels, performance venues, and anyone else requiring up to CD quality real-time audio over a digital network. DIGIFON owns and operates an ISDN Bridging/Transmission facility-for-hire. DIGIFON maintains an internet web site at www.digifon.com which features a worldwide directory of ISDN CODEC users and other useful information.
