I Believe!

I believe
in Santa Claus. And I hope he lives in the hearts and minds of the human race into eternity. I even have an extensive Santa collection that goes on display every season.  There is my Packer Santa, the golfing Santa, the old fashioned antique style Santa, and the sound-activated Santa that plays a little carol upon any loud noise, hand clap, laugh, or cheering during playoff games which are among my favorites, to describe a few.

As a child, Santa used to arrive at our home each Christmas eve.  I was always in bed...never fast asleep, but gleefully anticipating his arrival, signaled by the jingling of sleigh bells and the stomping I could hear happening downstairs, followed by a hearty "Ho, Ho, Ho".  My sisters and I rushed below, and there he was, in his fancy red suit.

We did our wrapping downstairs in the basement. When I was in second grade, one afternoon I was wrapping gifts, when all of a sudden did my wondering eyes did appear, but a box with the Santa suit and rubber mask sitting on a shelf, complete with white beard attachment.

Such a sighting has never deterred my love of the jolly old elf of annual cheer. in fact it has been my mission to be one of his elvettes. I do this in many ways, and make it a habit in my every day life.

Believe that most people are basically good

I believe that in today's social media, there are many self-proclaimed gurus out there are telling us what to do, how to do it and beat the drum of their spin and unsolicited advice. While information gathering is good for the brain and good for your life and or career...

I believe the answer to life's deepest questions resides inside, if we just take the time to listen to our honest selves.

May Santa bring you all the goodies you've been dreaming of tonight.
Merry Christmas and Happiest of Holidays!
